Yes, we have several selections of distressing, including wirebrush if desired. Click for more information. We also have custom interior and exterior finishes available. Samples are available for customers who have already placed their door order.

What does lead time mean?
The amount of time it takes to build your order from receiving your signed confirmation and deposit to us shipping it out. Our lead time for prehung doors usually runs 6 - 8 weeks. For slab doors, 4 - 6 weeks.

What is the difference between slab and prehung doors?
A pre-hung door is hung in its jamb and ready to slide into a rough opening. It includes solid wood jamb legs of the same species as the door and heavy-duty, architectural-grade hinges. The door and jambs are prepped for the lockset. An exterior door would include all of the above plus weatherstrip, a bronze adjustable threshold, and a door bottom for an airtight seal between the door and threshold.

A door slab is the door only, with no alterations. Door slabs are typically used for bi-pass doors or pocket doors. They are also ordered when a person desires to do the prehang themselves. Prehung doors are built with the jambs and hinges mortised, with threshold and weatherstripping for exterior doors.

What do you mean by the hinging or "handing" of a door?
There are many ways that the hinging of doors is explained. Our standard is to stand inside the room the door swings into and facing the door. Are the hinges on the right or left? If on the right - it is hinged right (H-R), on the left, it is hinged left (H-L).
